WASHINGTON DC - In a recent survey conducted by the Census Bureau, it has been revealed that the average American family allocates approximately $1,000 per month for grocery expenses. Interestingly, the cost of groceries varies significantly across different states.
Families residing in California, Nevada, and Mississippi tend to spend the most on groceries, whereas those in Iowa, Michigan, and Indiana are among the states where grocery expenses are relatively lower.
Notably, the survey also highlights that families with children tend to spend an additional $50 per week on groceries compared to those without kids. Some may find it surprising that this difference amounts to only $50 per week
