LAKEFAIR 50+ IN THE PARK 2024 - “ROOTED IN TRADITION”
On Friday, July 19th, from 9:00am - 2:15pm Lakefair 50+ in the Park returns to Heritage Park in Olympia! This annual event has been a regular highlight of Lakefair for over 20 years and is produced specifically for individuals (and their families) as they approach their retirement. The Senior Action Network (SAN) is the presenting sponsor of this great event and every business participating in the event is also a member of SAN.
50+ in the Park features roughly 30 vendors who will provide an abundance of information to assist in planning for retirement. Additionally, many businesses will offer resources to enhance the quality of life for seniors ready to retire now &/ or for those individuals already in retirement.
A big thanks go to the major sponsors for the day: Fieldstone Senior Living Communities, Assured Home Health & Hospice, Funeral Alternatives of Washington and the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging . Thanks also go to Eileen McKenzie Sullivan - former Director of Senior Services for South Sound – who will once again be our Master of Ceremonies for the day.
The day starts with Zumba followed by local favorite Entertainment Explosion. New to 50+ in the Park this year is the quartet group “Hook Me Up”, performing pop, jazz and blues. The Capital Lakefair princesses will also make an appearance after which ELVIS takes the stage at 12:00! SAN has secured the legendary ELVIS as this years’ headline musical act, with the very talented Danny Vernon taking the stage at noon. You will not want to miss his performance! In addition to the musical performances, every vendor booth will have games and giveaways and there will be three (3) GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS for all who turn in their ‘Passport’ before the winner(s) names are announced!
