Bring your dog and join in this FREE PAW-fectly dog-tastic day! Bully Walk, BBQ, Vendors, Merchandise, FREE Games with prizes, AND Contests!
ALL dog lovers are welcome to attend the free Love a Pit Bull Day event happening on September 21st at Heritage Park, downtown Olympia. From 10:30am to 2pm. It's encouraged to bring your dog, all breeds welcome, and join in the festivities!
Schedule of Events:
Bully Walk: Join in on the national Coast to Coast Bully Walk! Look for signs pointing the way, the walk starts at 10:30am.
Quickest Licker Contest: How fast can your dog clear peanut butter from a spoon? 12pm and 1pm.
Look-Alike Contest: Dress your pup up to match your look! 12:30 pm
Dog Costume Contest: Our theme this year is Superheroes! Show us your best doggie superhero look! 1:30 pm
Open the whole event, 10:30a-2p:
BBQ: Look for the BBQ near the main area, or just follow your nose! Delicious BBQ pork sliders and coleslaw are available for a minimum donation of $8.
Vendors: Be sure to visit all of our vendors located along the sidewalk and parking areas.
Merchandise: Visit the Covenant Creatures merch table to check out our great Love a Pit Bull Day items!
Games: Visit the games table to try your hand at Plinko or spin our prize wheel for free prizes!

Vendors will be on-site for people to access our huge local network supporting pets including numerous pet rescues and companies. Covenant Creatures is hosting the event. Covenant Creatures is a program with the mission to help those who can't help themselves with vet care, nourishment and safety.

Some food for thought or dare we say "Dog Chow" for you to nibble on... "Nanny Pits"... Say WHAT?!?! Pit Bulls were originally bred to "bait" bulls, the breed became an all around farm dog and then moved from the fields to the house as "Nanny Dogs" because they were so gentle around children!
