In a recent study by WalletHub, Chicago and Houston have been identified as the cities with the highest levels of financial stress among residents, surpassing other major metropolitan areas in the United States. The analysis considered various factors, including bankruptcy rates and poor credit scores, in addition to the frequency of online searches for terms such as "loans" and "debt."

New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Atlanta also featured prominently in the top 10.
Conversely, Boise, Idaho, was recognized as the city facing the least financial challenges.
