ELLE KING SLAMMED FOR DISRESPECTFUL PERFORMANCE AT DOLLY PARTON'S BIRTHDAY.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Elle King's recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Ryman Auditorium stirred controversy as fans witnessed the 34-year-old singer appearing visibly inebriated during the show. The performance was part of a tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton on her 78th birthday, although Parton was not present.

King's performance raised concerns as she slurred her words, used profanity multiple times, and eventually acknowledged on stage that she was intoxicated. The venue, the Grand Ole Opry, issued an apologetic statement, expressing deep regret for the language used during King's performance.

As of now, Elle King has not publicly addressed the incident through a statement or on social media. A TikTok video from @auctioneergirl captured a moment during King's performance of Dolly Parton's song "Marry Me," where she appeared to forget the lyrics and made a comment about it, saying, "Don't tell Dolly 'cause it's her birthday." She also engaged with the audience in a confrontational manner, questioning their choice to attend the event.

Amidst fan reactions and someone in the audience expressing their disappointment, King openly admitted to being drunk on stage, which did not sit well with the audience. Her bandmate suggested playing one of her own songs, to which King responded that she could barely play someone else's song, adding, "I can barely play another person's song, let me see if I can play one of mine."

While King has not addressed that performance, she has talked about her drinking in the past, insisting she can control it. She is pictured here drinking on stage in January last year
