NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Luke Combs, one of country music's reigning hitmakers, achieved a historic milestone on the Billboard Country Airplay chart dated Sept. 9. His single "Love You Anyway" ascended to the No. 1 position, marking it his 17th song to clinch the top spot.

In a surprising turn, his rendition of Tracy Chapman's iconic "Fast Car" also holds its ground, settling at the No. 2 spot. This chart-topping event is unparalleled in the chart's more than 30-year run, with no artist having previously secured the top two spots with different solo tracks.
