NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Country music singer Morgan Wallen was arrested on three felony charges following an incident at a downtown Nashville bar on Sunday, authorities said.

The arrest occurred shortly before 11 p.m. CT at Chief's, the bar owned by fellow country artist Eric Church. Details surrounding the charges were not immediately disclosed, but Wallen's representatives stated that he is cooperating with the police.

This is not Wallen's first encounter with law enforcement in Nashville. In May 2020, he faced disorderly conduct charges after an incident at Kid Rock's bar, also located in the city's downtown area.

The arrest came on the heels of the 2024 CMT Music Awards, which concluded the same evening in Austin, Texas. Wallen, who was nominated for Male Video of the Year, did not win the award, losing to artist Jelly Roll.

Wallen is currently on a break from his One Night at a Time Tour. Further details about the arrest and the charges are pending.

The arrest report says that some Metro Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief's Bar on Broadway Sunday night when a chair fell from above them, hitting the ground just feet from where they were standing. Wallen was arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

The singer’s court hearing is set for May 3rd.

Wallen's bond was set at $15,250 and he was spotted being shielded by umbrellas as he was released from Davidson County jail around 3.30am
