Study: Excessive Cell Phone Use May Alter Brain Structure, But Recovery Possible
A new study suggests that excessive cell phone use may lead to structural changes in the brain.
Researchers conducted MRI scans on individuals who frequently use their phones and found abnormal growth or shrinkage in certain brain regions. The findings indicate potential negative effects on cognitive function.
However, experts say the brain can recover in as little as three days. They recommend reducing screen time and engaging in activities that stimulate mental function, such as drawing or playing musical instruments.
